Tabatha Jones grew up in San Diego and moved to Ventura in August of 2014. Tabatha has over 15 years of office management experience, with 8 years as the office manager of a civil litigation law firm. She obtained her Paralegal Certificate from Coastline Community College in 2013 and is a Notary Public.
Tabatha has been with the firm since July of 2015.
Courtney Mikolaj is a Ventura County native and studied Business Administration at Ventura College. After taking a Business Law class, she quickly found her passion for the law and has been working in the legal field ever since. Courtney proudly joined the firm in January 2017 with nearly ten years’ experience in all aspects of litigation, including trial preparation and courtroom experience. Courtney lives in Ventura with her partner, Shaun, and pet frog, Fred.
Sal Barragan has been working for Schurmer & Wood for the last five years. A resident of Ventura County for 32 years, Mr. Barragan graduated from Fillmore High School and attended Ventura College.
Mr. Barragan currently resides in Fillmore with his wife and two daughters. He speaks Spanish and English.
Krystal was born and raised in Oxnard, California. Krystal attended Channel Islands High School and studied Business Administration at Ventura College. She lives in Oxnard with her daughter Mia.
Krystal is fluent in English and Spanish often acts as Schurmer and Wood’s interpreter.
Francisco De la Torre works for Schurmer and Wood as an investigator, though his duties vary tremendously outside of simply conducting investigation. Mr. De la Torre also serves court documents, obtains medical records, and serves defendants.
Francisco also works for Lazer Broadcasting and lives in Oxnard with his wife and daughter.
Deanna Lomeli was born and raised in Fillmore, California. She attended Fillmore High School and is currently studying Zoology at Moorpark College. Ms. Lomeli works for Schurmer and Wood as a file clerk and accounting assistant.
